Does any one know a large family called the Brookes thay still live in hazel grove to day mostly in the valley?

A large Brookes family used to live on Commercial Road and their father was the local postman - this was back in the 50's

I was at school with Fiona Brookes - 1973 - 1978. She had older sisters at HGH School, and one in the year below us (I think).

i know the brookes they live in hazle grove, a big family that are well known, i know billy and graham and paule, billy and paul used to drink up and down the A6 were i would catch up with them for a beer or three, i live in aus now so i am not sure what they are up too now

They at one time lived accross the road from me down the Valley, they had two houses knocked into one there was about 13/14 kids as far as I remember.

definatly lived in the valley at bottom of comercial road back in the late 60s

Yes, I was in the same year as the youngest and know most of them. Most still live in H/G.
