Has anyone noticed that the Bulls Head has closed its doors? Apparently so to has the Gardeners Arms in Offerton and soon to follow is the Rising Sun. Will
these become boarded up eyesores?

Several other local pubs are affected including the Unicorn at Dean Row and the Legh Arms in Adlington. The reason is that the Orchid Pub Company that owns
them has gone into administration.
There's a complete list of pubs affected here. |

The Rising Sun isn't on that list.....??
How sad though, The Legh and The Butley are lovely pubs abd the food is amazing. My 3 fusspot children all eat very well there. |

I believe that they are closed "temporarily" for "administrative" reasons. About the worst possible time of year for this to happen though.
Some Orchid pubs have been retained after Orchid relaunched under new management. Others - the ones affected - have apparently been acquired by other pub chains such as Punch. |

Maybe i'm being cynical but did anyone get their fingers burnt in the above way ? Why does it always seem to happen that when a seemingly thriving business 'goes under' and then miracoulously reappears all the 'debts' disappear. Maybe our accountant friends could answer that one for us. Hope the staff manage to sort themselves out though. |
